Free Portal 2 DLC coming soon

Portal 2 DLC - playwisegaming.comThe first downloadable content, creatively labeled “DLC #1,” for first-person puzzler “Portal 2” will be free and is arriving this summer, developer Valve announced via press release yesterday.

The free pack will include the expected additional test chambers along with leaderboards, a challenge mode for both single and multiplayer and more. What the “more” portion of “DLC #1” actually is remains a mystery.

This free and substantially loaded DLC pack is a change of pace when compared to the day-one DLC that arrived with the title, which is essentially over-priced virtual stickers that show up on your robot avatar during cooperative play. Valve has not announced whether or not any further DLC will be free as well.

The DLC will be available for PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Portal is back and better than ever! The tests are as mind bending as ever, and they’ve added new elements, like light bridges and emancipation gates. The graphics are smooth and attractive, but nothing that’s going to make your jaw drop. The controls are as simple and effective as the first game. But then, none of that was what worried me. I had no doubt that they would be able to recreate and expand upon the technical aspects of the first game. My concern was whether or not they would manage to capture and continue the personality and sense of humor of the first game. I am very pleased to report that the sequel does not disappoint. The sequel pics up right where the first game left off, and GLaDOS holds a grudge. Her insults, passive aggressive comments, and general malice will have you chuckling throughout the game. Your new companion and guide robot also adds to the character of the game, though he can be a bit heavy handed at times. If you enjoyed the first game, you will love the sequel, both for its expanded challenges, and its unique personality. As long as you enjoy a good puzzle and have a sense of humor, you will never regret this purchase.

Hi! I actually bhogut the camera clip for the PS Eye. It’s nothing really special, but it keeps the camera up there in a stable manner. I bhogut it long ago, but I think there’s several companies who make similar clips for less now. If you’re not sure yet as to which position is best for the camera, you can also simply let the camera hang above your TV. The trick is simple to do, since you simply need to put the camera in front and let the wire hang behind the TV.
